Dear Fellow Sales Pro,
How much is one sales lead worth to you? How about 10, 20 or 30 new sales leads? And on a regular basis. The sky is the limit!
Of course many sales leads are pretty well worthless, if they aren't well targeted.
I'm not talking just any old sales leads, but people who are contacting you because they are looking for and interested in buying your service or product.
I'm talking potential customers that are warm and ready to buy because they already know you, want to do business with you and understand your product or service.
Think about it.....how much does it cost to advertise in the yellow pages, local papers, radio or television?
Now let's say your income is commission based, that you sell for someone else and these advertisements bring in potential clients - how many of those are passed on to you?
Do you get a bonus or incentive for bringing in new customers on your own aka self gens? Maybe there's even a minimum requirement for new sales to self generated leads.
If only there was.......
There is! And it's affordable!
Chances are the company you work for has a website. That website is probably set up to promote the company & its products. If the web designer did their job, it should be capturing sales leads. Sales leads that will be divided up between the salespeople.
There are different kinds of websites with different objectives. Some are for shopping on. Those aren't what I'm talking about.
Some are big, fancy & flashy, those certainly aren't what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about your own informative professionally laid out brochure on the web with one objective - CAPTURE THE LEAD.
3 to 5 well designed, search engine optimized web pages that tell visitors...:
So that when someone searches for your product or service in your geographical area, your website comes up.
As a Net user I do it all the time. I don't even use a phone book anymore. I type my town + whatever product/service I'm looking for into google and voila! I choose from the list that pops up.
Same thing if I know the company name. My town + XYZ Gizmos.
As a sales person, how great would it be if when someone types in Your town + Your product WHAMO they see your website. Click you get the lead.
Getting back to different types of websites...
You don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a big content website or a flashy website with a shopping cart.
A content website wants to keep visitors on the site as long as possible, and coming back time after time. I have one myself. But, that's not the objective of your website.
A site with all the products, prices & info where people can go to shop. I have one of those as well. But, that's not the objective of your website.
One more time - Your website is a brochure - Letting people know about the products or services you sell and building credibility so that they will give you their contact information.
Unlike direct mail brochures, your potential clients have arrived interested in reading yours because it's what they were searching for.
Your website doesn't sell anything, except you as the expert they should choose to do business with. You website is set up to capture warm ready to deal with you sales leads.
If you're ready to join the many other sales pros out there snatching up leads on the world wide web here's my number 250-710-0594 & here's my e-mail info@shelleylockwood.com.
Feel free to get in touch for more info. Just so you know (not a sales pitch I promise) I work with a very limited number of clients. In this day and age, customer service has fallen by the wayside. I refuse to join that trend! Fewer customers means I can focus on delivering the service customers deserve.
Right! One other thing......
Before you choose a web designer, talk to them, get to know them. Make sure you're both on the same page (ha ha) and that there's a personality fit.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
